Getting up in the mornings can be challenging for some students (and even to some parents). To help this everyday process go on in a smoother way, read the post below.

How to Get Your Child Out of Bed

Establish a Sleeping Routine

Establishing a sleeping routine can help your child have restful nights and more energy to get up in the mornings. That's why you should follow the tips below:
  1. Talk to your child to teach them about sleep and to understand their own sleeping needs.
  2. Be sure to follow a sleeping-waking schedule even on the weekends.
  3. Limit the use of electronics before bed.
  4. Create a comfortable space for them to sleep.
  5. Make sure their belongings are ready for school.
  6. Have a set bedtime routine (eating dinner, washing up, reading, etc.).

Try Different Methods

Singing songs, using the family pet, setting an alarm clock, or cooking their favorite breakfast, are all methods you can employ to get your child up and ready. Try them until you find the one that's most effective for your child.

Create a Rewards System

Finally, there are other ways to encourage your child to get up and get ready on time every morning. For instance, you can create a rewards system, in which they get to choose an activity to do over the weekend if they are early for breakfast all week long.
